First off: Blargh! Why does inking keel my pictures? There was a lot more better detail and such in my sketch, and the expressions looke better... *sigh* /rant

I was browsing DA and I found another fun artist! :D

:iconsirithiliel: Who has some awesome skill and an interesting alien race of her own!

After she kindly answered my barrage of questions she said that I could make a Yaqtillian character if I wanted to!

'Course I jumped at the chance and that's what brings us to this image.

My character! :D Alibino female Yaqtillian. I still don't have a name for her, working on that.

But since they live underground a lot of the time and are generally colored in blues and purples being pure white kind of makes her stand out, which is dangerous when she ventures away from the home colony.

Which brings us to her mangled back spine things, I tried to make them in a curve, indicating that something took a bit out of them, something BIG. Luckily she survived and got away relatively unscathed, but because of that she has to be much more careful. What? Be safe and stay home? What a silly idea!

Not featured: She made herself something like a cloak that she can wear so she isn't so glaringly bright, something like a fifteen foot long nine foot tall ninja lizard thing XD

They use a lot of sound and sonar, and those frills are what pick up the returning sound. They are also rexpressive, like a cat's ears I think I was told. So I tried to make some expressions, dunno if I was successful.

And I'm rather proud of that doodle showing her reaching out. With some local living things down in the caverns.

Nicely done. ^^ I quite like the one of her sticking her tongue out :XD: And you included the little rock-tunneler-worm thing and other fauna/flora! Nice!

Fantastic job :excited:

I'm glad you like it! :D

That worm was just creepy enough to need to be included XD It stuck in my memory.

I don't draw animals very well, so I hope i got her anatomy right.

And yay! I didn't know if they had tongues that were pointed or what but I went for the reptillian effect XD

Was that part about her back spines alright?

^^ I like my worm...

You did swell on the anatomy! :XD: And her back spines were a nice touch, added personality and detail to her character ^^

Next I need to figure out how to draw her cloak XD

She'd look like a sith lord meets ninja.

>.>....want her to make a guest appearance in the Yaqtil comic i have? She'll just pop up randomly on a page, but i'm trying to include the Y aqtillians other people have designed in it

Alien reptiles are awesome. Yours looks like a mischievous one at that. I can't wait to see her dressed as a sith ninja
