First off: I don't know WHY I insist on making character with curly hair, I certainly have no clue how to draw it and even LESS on how to shade it. Blarghle.
That aside, I am very pleased with this piece! I hope you enjoy it too!
I clearly have no idea how to shade a Cravat XD *that ruffled poof there on Rem's front) but I gave it my best shot. I couldn't get a hold of a proper pattern for Tori's vest so I went with 's suggestion of pinstripes. Which I free handed.
The backgrounds are images, yes, to express each of the character's backgrounds.
What else to say...
Well I guess I'll move onto the characters themselves now!
When these two met each other, they did not get off on the best foot. Honestly they could not stand each other! Tori was something of a know-it-all brat and Rem had enough smugness to make even the snootiest of felines pale in comparison.
But because of their situation they had to work together to survive and their relationship improved past hate.
Rem is from a Victorian era dimension, and Tori is from one of advanced technology. I tried to express that with the backgrounds on each of their sides.
Rem belongs to my friend And I had help with the goggles from my friend
Oh! And this is going into my 254 themes challenge as # 149: Annoyance
Looks very nice! :3 I likes it that I do. I think the shading looks far more bold then your previous pieces and that in itself is a big improvment! <3 for the curly hair..hm..I do not think in words I could explain the proper way to shade curly hair O.o But for Cell shaded curly hair, it looks good :3 Though with all things, you should remember that light can't hit everywhere, your light source seems to change... but eh, I THINK ITS GOOD. so there. D:<
